Gaining your CHC50125 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care has never been easier with EIM’s flexible training delivery. This qualification provides students with advanced knowledge and confidence to work with young children in the Early Childhood sector.
Summary
This qualification provides students with an advanced understanding of planning, implementing and managing programs in Early Childhood services. Students will develop a working knowledge of current regulations and law within children’s services.
Structure
This qualification can be completed as classroom-based or workplace-based training.
Classroom-based students
32 weeks face to face delivery in the classroom, attending 2 days per week of formal lectures and 1 day of class-based self-paced study per week, with an additional 280 hours of vocational placement. Typical total duration is 8-12 months.
Workplace-based students
15 months in the workplace with visits from our trainer once every two months.
Support
Students will be provided with resources, assessment tools, organisation policies and procedures and reference resources. Trainers are available by appointment for one-on-one mentoring if required. EIM also boasts a strong student hub and student services department.
Eligibility
Entry to this qualification is open to individuals who hold:
- CHC30121
Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or its equivalent successor)
OR
- CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
Alternatively, individuals may hold:
- An Australian diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
OR
- An Australian diploma or certificate III in Children’s Services.
AND
- Demonstrate at least 12 months of cumulative employment (full-time equivalent) within the last 5 years in a regulated education and care service in Australia, supported by verifiable evidence.
OR
- Hold the CHCSS00147 Entry into Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.
Students must have appropriate level of ACSF skills (Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital)

OR
- CHC30113 Certificate III in Childhood Education and Care.
Alternatively, individuals may hold:
- An Australian diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
OR
- An Australian diploma or certificate III in Children’s Services.
AND
- Demonstrate at least 12 months of cumulative employment (full-time equivalent) within the last 5 years in a regulated education and care service in Australia, supported by verifiable evidence.
OR
- Hold the CHCSS00147 Entry into Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.
Students must have passed equivalent Australian Year 11 qualifications, and hold an overall IELTS 6.0 average, or equivalent language level.

Delivery
This is a 52-week qualification, taught in-class with additional vocational placement. Students will be required to attend 2 days of formal lectures and 1 day of class-based self-paced study. The qualification consists of competency-based training and assessment – no exams!
Placement
Students will be required to log a minimum of 280 hours of vocational placement, with EIM International securing this placement on the students behalf.
