The packaged course UEE31220 Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control and UEE51020 Diploma of Instrumentation and Control Engineering provides students with advanced skills and knowledge in instrumentation, process automation and control engineering, including coding, electrical and micro controls. Students will gain the skills and knowledge to be leaders in their chosen fields upon graduating.

Students must have passed equivalent Australian Year 11 qualification, and hold an overall IELTS 6.0 average, or equivalent language level. Students must have also completed the UEE31220 (or its preceding version, UEE31211) Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control qualification prior to UEE51020 Diploma of Instrumentation and Control Engineering.

This qualification package is delivered over a total span of 163 weeks: 103 weeks for Certificate III and 52 for Diploma, with an 8-week study break in-between courses. Students will be required to attend 2 days of formal lectures (9am – 4.30pm) and 1 day of class-based self-paced study per week. The qualification is comprised of competency-based training and assessment – no exams!
